MarineFleet 33 and Fleet 77

Fleet 77 — Internet, Wherever You Need It

Fleet F77 is the first, full-featured device in a family of new high-bandwidth IP-enabled global satellite systems. The Fleet product suite is the next generation of maritime satellite communications, having evolved from the highly successful Inmarsat A, B and M systems but using more lightweight stabilized antennas.

It is an integrated service that allows you to choose from Mobile Packet Data (MPDS), ISDN, PSTN and low cost voice telephony. Mobile Packet Data revolutionises satellite communications by providing an "always on" channel where you only pay for data sent and received, not the time connected.

For the first time, cost effective Internet access, as well as real-time telemetry, SCADA and messaging applications are available to all maritime users. SkyNet's Fleet 77 provides dedicated 64Kbps ISDN connectivity, enabling high-speed data transfer and high quality voice, fax and video, a 3.1 kHz audio channel for the connection of analogue devices, as well as low cost "mini M" voice telephony and fax.

Fleet 77 Provides global voice, fax and high-speed data communications at speeds up to 128kbps. It is suitable for a wide range of vessels, from deep-sea ships to offshore support craft.

Fleet 33 — Satellite Internet for Smaller Craft

The Hybrid adds quad-band GPRS capabilities to its satellite transceiver to create an integrated dual-mode satellite/cellular terminal that is ideal for tracking and monitoring assets travelling between remote and urban regions. This terminal uses cellular frequencies when in range of terrestrial networks and seamlessly switches to satellite service when cellular service is not available, thus providing cost savings without sacrificing global coverage.

Fleet 33 has the smallest antenna in the Fleet range. Light above-deck equipment and simple, low-cost hardware installation makes it a natural choice for small craft.
